Food Truck Round Up

The City of Des Plaines hosts three Tuesday night Food Truck Round Up events in the summertime. Residents, friends, and neighbors gather to listen to live music, shop from local artisans and enjoy dinner from a variety of food trucks around the city. Save the dates for the 2026 Food Truck Round Ups and check out the entire lineup of City events at desplainesil.gov/events.

Mark your calendars:

Tuesday, May 19

Join the City of Des Plaines as we kick-start the summer fun at Rosemary S. Argus Friendship Park and Conservatory (395 W Algonquin Road, Des Plaines, IL 60016). Enjoy food trucks, live music by Whiskey Mil (beginning at 5:30 p.m.), bubble activities, and more! Everyone in the community is invited to attend.

Music and limited picnic tables will be placed under a covered pavilion. While limited seating is available, attendees are welcome to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets. Additional seating is available in the Conservatory Courtyard (please follow the Open House directional signage). Portable restrooms and indoor facilities will be available.

Check out the following artisan and community booths for handmade goods, treats, and information:

May 19 Food Truck Lineup

Menu items available for purchase include smash burgers, chicken wings, potstickers, fish tacos, grilled cheese, eggrolls, pancit, panzerotti (calzones), frozen slushies, ice cream, and fresh squeezed lemonade. Kori's Koop is offering vegetarian options of their grilled cheese and fries. Most trucks will accept cash and card, but please note that Panzi'z only accepts cash (no debit or credit cards).

We sincerely appreciate your patience, as you may experience longer wait times at this highly popular event. Food service ends at 8 p.m. Trucks may cutoff their queue lines to ensure those in line are served before the event ends.

In addition to trash waste bins, we will have composting and recycling bins available. Visit the Sustainability Station where you can sort your food scraps, napkins, soda cans, and more into the appropriate bins.

Additional Information

No alcohol is permitted on Park District property.

While dogs are welcomed at the park, they must be under a handler’s control at all times and on a leash that does not exceed 15’ in length. Dogs are not allowed in any playground area or athletic field. Read the full ordinance on the Park District's website here.

Parking lot entrance is on Kolpin Drive off Algonquin Road and overflow parking will be available at Friendship Junior High's parking lot. Des Plaines Emergency Management team members will be directing traffic flow into the lots. We are anticipating a high volume of attendees and appreciate your patience as there may be temporary congestion in the roadway. Accessible parking is available in the lot in front of the Conservatory.
