The Des Plaines Fire Department will host a Patriot Day Ceremony on Friday, September 11 at 8 a.m. at the Des Plaines Civic Center (1420 Miner St.). Members of the Police Department, elected officials, and other city staff will join the Fire Department in honoring those impacted by the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The community is invited to attend and take part in this moment of remembrance.
