Apply Now for Funding Opportunities!

The City of Des Plaines is accepting applications for funding requests from non-profit Social Service Agencies. The City of Des Plaines supports the delivery of these services for residents by allocating funds from the City’s General Funds. Agencies providing the following programs to incorporated Des Plaines residents may be eligible to receive funding from the City upon approval of an application:

  • Food
  • Housing/Shelter
  • Clothing
  • Child Care
  • Individual & Family Mental Health Services
  • Services for Seniors and People with Disabilities
  • Substance Use Disorders Treatment Services
  • Domestic Violence Services
  • Assistance for Low/Moderate Income Residents

Human Services (HS) updated the funding application to reflect emerging community needs, particularly housing instability and homelessness prevention, intensive case management, food insecurity, senior services, and services for children and youth. These areas represent the most frequent and complex requests for assistance. The revisions support more effective evaluation of program impact and strategic use of City funds.

Interested agencies should review the application and requested materials available on the City’s website beginning January 30, 2026. If you have any questions, please contact Human Services via email at adanek@desplainesil.gov.
