ComEd is doing construction at the intersection of Graceland Avenue and Miner Street on. Due to utility conflicts, work is expected to be completed by August 25. Graceland Avenue will be closed between Miner Street (Northwest Highway) and Ellinwood Street starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, July 28. The road is expected to reopen by August 15. Posted detours will direct drivers to Northwest Highway, Broadway Street, Golf Road, Wolf Road, and Oakton Street.

Miner Street will close at Graceland Avenue, starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, August 18, for Phase 2 of the project. Work is expected to be completed by Monday, August 25. Southeast-bound drivers will be directed to State Street, Golf Road, Rand Road, Des Plaines River Road, Elk Boulevard, Lee Street, Jefferson Street, and Graceland Avenue. Northwest-bound drivers will be directed to take Lee Street, Elk Boulevard, Des Plaines River Road, Rand Road, Golf Road, and State Street.

Motorists should anticipate delays and allow additional time for trips through the area. Always obey posted speed limits and stay alert for workers, equipment, and detour signs.
